Now more than ever, people just like you may easily qualify for free phone service in Oklahoma.

Are you interested? Read on for the simple steps involved in the Oklahoma Lifeline program.

About the Oklahoma Free Cell Phone Service Program

  • The Lifeline program is a federally-funded solution that provides low-cost government phone service that Oklahoma residents who qualify can benefit from—and many times, the cost is zero! What could be better than free?
  • The Lifeline program aims to ease the financial burden associated with mobile devices and/or cell phone internet access for low-income citizens, as well as recipients of a number of government assistance programs.

How Do I Qualify for the Lifeline Program?

  • If you are already a recipient of government assistance programs such as Food Stamps/SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), Medicaid, SSI, and more, you may qualify for free cell service through the Lifeline program and you may qualify for a free phone with Assist Wireless, an eligible telecommunications carrier.
  • Another way to qualify for Lifeline assistance is through your income level. Lower-income individuals and their families whose income is 135% less than the Federal Poverty Guidelines may qualify as well.
  • Simply visit the Assist Wireless website for a full list of necessary documentation customers can provide as proof of income and/or government program assistance in order to get started on your path to low-cost (or free)  service and cell phone. It’s as easy as 1-2-3!
  • In addition to applying online, you can also call, chat, email, or stop by in-store at one of the many Assist locations (30 and counting!) across Oklahoma for more information and trusted courteous customer service.
